What has been going on over the first month of early ski season? The answer is two fold. A lot of good and a lot of nothing.
On the nothing side we have had very little snow in Summit County and Keystone. That's not good.
On the good side temperatures have been perfect for snow making and Keystone has done a fantastic job of opening more slopes with high quality snow then every before. Traffic slow on the slopes has been great and the terrain is versatile, up to upper intermediate levels. All we need is one or two big dumps and most of the resort will be open.
Despite the low snow fall, this early ski season has been really nice in Keystone and the snow making crews and mountain team deserve a lot of credit.
