The Keystone Resort has had its ups and downs this early ski season. We started out with a big storm in early November, but this every dried up. Luckily temperatures stayed low and the Keystone Snow making crews make huge amounts of snow all day and night every night.
Thanksgiving came and went. There was an excellent turnout of both front range skiers and vacationers. The Keystone resort was nearly filled to capacity at times. More ski runs were open this Thanksgiving than last, even though there was less snow.
Now here we are in early December, we are finally getting the winter blast that we have been hoping for. It has been consistently snowing for the last 24 hours and it looks like there will be some good December Skiing in Keystone after all.
Vail, Breckenridge, Beaver Creek, Arapahoe Basin, Copper Mountain and Loveland have also felt the pounding of the white stuff and it would be great to ski any of these places now.
We call Keystone home because it is the most central resort to all the other resorts in Summit and Eagle County. If you are considering a ski vacation, we strongly urge you to consider Keystone your home base. You can get to 5 other resorts between 10 and 35 minutes drive.
A-basin = less than 10
Breckenridge = 15 to 20
Love Land = 15 to 20
Copper Mountain 20 to 25
Vail / Beaver Creek 35
