Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First time stay in Breckenridge, the location in proximity to Downtown was about 15 miles away. Ethan of both worlds for summertime fun. The property is very well maintained. The only issue was related to water pressure noise when flushing. All in all the home was clean, roomy and offered all the basic needs. We appreciated the WIFI strength and Sauna. Nice addition, nice patio/deck put back to enjoy the greenery and sounds of the river flowing. Great Al fresco dining. Management company was also very responsive and courteous.

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin and would stay again. You can hear the rushing waters of the blue river from the oversized back balcony patio which was my favorite part. Only downside, there are almost no condiments. You will need to provide your own coffee, butter, Mayo etc.

The home was beautiful, welcoming, well stocked and very well located to Breckenridge and all other points of interest in that area of Colorado. Overall, our 4-night stay here was great and it fit our needs with 2 families. We love that it was located close to Breckinridge in a quiet neighborhood for a reasonable price. The only reason we didn't give a 5 star rating on each category is due to the cleanliness; We saw lots of cobwebs and live bugs (spiders and large ants) and we found several pots/pans that were not cleaned properly prior to storing. It also had a very strange feature: a pair of wooden shutters that separated the master bathroom to the front entryway. Even so, we would consider staying here again and would recommend to others. The house was set-up well with beds for 9 and 2 1/2 baths to accommodate enough people. It was comfortable, clean, and well equipped to entertain most. Remotes were not returned to proper places, but it was figured out with time. Would recommend a stay.

I loved this home, it was so cozy and clean with everything we needed. I could have stayed another week! We drove into Breckenridge to ski one day and it's only a quick 10 min drive from the house. Loved the sauna and the master suite! We even saw a moose while we were there which was so cool! Would definitely book again.

The neighborhood and the views were spectacular. The house itself was good. The master bed has a foam liner to make it more comfortable. Word to the wise, bring your own pillow. The pillows were all too hard or too flat. The garage was a great space to keep our suburban out of the cold winter. One of the neighbors even came and plowed the driveway twice while we were there. That was very nice. It’s about a 10-13 minute drive to Breck, depending on the time of day so very convenient. One element that was disappointing is the water system. Every time the toilet flushes upstairs, there is a crazy loud noise that comes from the septic pump system and it is literally on the wall right behind the headboard in the master bedroom, so every time someone uses the restroom at night, the master occupants are startled awake. The system itself is very noisy in general but it isn’t an issue unless you are sleeping. They did have a humidifier, but unfortunately, it didn’t work so the air was very dry. We didn’t get to use the sauna while there but it was a nice option. I somehow thought it was in the house but it is in a small room off of the garage. You have to walk outside in the deep snow (or shovel snow off of back porch) to access it, so that was why we didn’t use it.

The cabin was perfect for our family getaway. The one thing that wasn't ideal was the master bed. The mattress was very uncomfortable and we woke up each morning sore and achey.

Finding a mattress that satisfies the mass amount of renters we see is just not possible, but we do like to see every guest comfortable during their stay. If someone does not like the mattress we can offer a replacement air-mattress as well. If the mattress is is bad condition and is in need of a replacement we will contact the owner of the unit in efforts of getting this replaced as soon as possible.

The only downside was the plumbing is pretty loud since being on a septic tank and getting the rental car up the hill was a struggle. One suggestion I would say is if your coming here during the winter make sure you have tire chains because the streets are slippery.

Karen house is very cozy and comfortable. It was very clean and there are all the appliances you can imagine, all you have to buy is food. The location is great, only 15 minutes from Main Street, where the stores and restaurants are located. If you like silence like me, it's perfect. My family (5 young adult children, ages 16-24, my mother and my wife and I) loved Moose Landing. It was the perfect size. Gas fire place. Coat room. Washer/Dryer. Multiple thermostats. Big family dining table. Close to Breckenridge, but not so close as to get caught in Breck skier traffic. Hosts were attentive, beds were comfortable, kids were happy and the sauna was a cherry on top. Only one caution. I had asked beforehand if a four wheel drive vehicle was necessary, as we only reserved two front wheel drive cars. While Hwy 9 was mostly dry and clearly passable, and the neighborhood roads where well-plowed, the steepness of the grade of the icy roads to get up to Moose Landing (tried two different routes) was too much for 4 people and luggage in a two wheel drive car. Bring chains or get a 4x4.

The house was beautiful. It was just the right size for us and the kids room with the bunk bed and single beds worked out great. It had all the comforts of home and coming home to a warm fireplace each night was wonderful. It snowed every night so the teens had a great time snowboarding everyday. Breckenridge was only 10 minutes away. Although most nights we cooked as the teens were tired and wanted to stay in. Keystone and A basin were very close as well. The kitchen was well stocked. Frisco wasn't too far and one day we took a trip out to Vail. Karen and Don were very responsive to any questions we had, which weren't many as they provided practically everything we needed, including a glove dryer.

Karen and Don are wonderful owners and a pleasure to deal with and the home is ultra comfy and roomy. One of my pet peeves is the quality of the beds in rental properties but the Moose House has the best set of beds we have experienced. Add to that, the dry sauna, open air living area and fully stocked kitchen and you have a perfect place to relax after a day on the slopes. We also really liked the fact that the home is far enough outside of town that it is absolutely quiet and peaceful, but close enough to easily get to town for meals and shopping. Five stars for the Moose House!!!

My wife and I stayed here over Labor Day weekend. The house was fantastic! Very clean, rustic, close to town, but far enough away to have some solitude. Downtown break has a bunch of neat shops; if you like tea, check out Spice Merchants. We'd also recommend a couples massage at Harmony Health. The Lost Cajun has some really tasty food. There are plenty of places for hiking in the area. Check out Mohawk Lakes! The Actkinsons have been great through the whole experience as well. They have everything you need to know in a binder at the house. We'd definitely stay here again.

What a wonderful way to start the summer. The house was so lovely. It has it all. I am not a skier, so I enjoy the coolness of the summer time in this wonderful place in the mountains. I so loved the fact that we were close to the town and were able to enjoy the shopping and dining areas that Breckenridge provides. The added bonus was the stream outside my window. I could lift the window and go to sleep with the sound of the stream and when I woke up, it was to that same lovely sound. Your home was so comfortable and relaxing. I would enjoy another stay there anytime!!

This was the best place I have stayed in at Breckenridge. The property was very clean and well-maintained. There were amazing views and location. Great place to relax after a long day on the mountain. Just a few minutes from downtown Breck. I would definitely recommend this property to family and friends. We will also be staying here during our next trip to Breckenridge.

The property is about 10min from the hustle & bustle of main street Breck. Coming here really feels like you are getting away from it all and have your own private cabin in the mountains. The owners have done a wonderful job decorating the home. The property was well maintained when we arrived and made for a very enjoyable stay. We look forward to coming back next year!

Accommodations include a fireplace, hot tub, full kitchen, washer/dryer, boot drying rack, and a wood stove. Perfect for a weekend getaway or the entire season! Contact with renter was quick and easy process, and we were all excited to finally get to experience Breckenridge in the summer time! When we first arrived there was still a bit of snow in the front and backyard which was interesting to see because the weather was so warm out. The house itself was such the perfect accommodation for our family, we had the master room with our own tv, porch access, and bathroom/shower. The kids were upstairs where they also enjoyed the bunker room with the tv and shower to share upstairs. The house is very well maintained and carried everything we needed to grill out steaks and then roast marshmallows out on the side patio while enjoying swinging on the lift chair! It was just cool enough outside to wear a light jacket while pulling a blanket around to keep warm. Another thing we enjoyed was being the perfect distance away from Main Street Breckenridge, when we needed any groceries or to go shopping it was only a 7 min drive into town. We loved the serenity of the home and enjoyed opening our windows every night to listen to the stream running behind the house. We also discovered that there is a hiking trail about a mile up the road that takes about 3 hour and has the most beautiful overlook of the mountains from the top! Overall we are overwhelmed with the beauty of this property and all of the little things that make this home such a wonderful place to stay at. We will definitely be back to make more memories here!! Thank you again for letting us stay at your wonderful home.

This is a great property! We stayed for a long weekend and the house worked great. Plenty of room and the fire is warm and starts with a switch, no hassles! But if you have to have the wood experience there is a cute pot bellied stove that pumps out the heat. Huge kitchen, all the amenities, clean as they come. Easy access to restaurants and slopes. Can't wait back to get back!

Spent a few days here before the snow dropped and it was beautiful. Quiet location, very relaxing, in and out with a very homey feel about it. We had no issues with the property or the owners. Found the distance from Breckenridge to be about right.....not too close, but close enough to enjoy her good food, shopping, and skiing. Daylight Donuts is kind of small, but what a great little breakfast joint. Get there early or you're going to stand in line. Quick little vacation done right!
