Buffalo Lodge #8370

This place was great for our party of 8 (3 couples plus two young adult children). There was plenty of space for preparing meals and hanging out. The only “complaint” I have is the parking situation. One parking pass for 8 people is frustrating.

Enjoyed our stay, well appointed condo with close walking distance to Riverrun Gondola. Able to come in for lunch. Bonus- when conditions were not great at bottom of mountain, you can ride gondola back to bottom, avoiding slushie conditions. Good space for family of five with adult children. This unit has its own washer/ dryer. Nice common area with pool tables snd nearby hot tub.

Thank you for the great review! We’re so glad the condo worked well for your family and that you enjoyed the convenient location near the River Run Gondola—being able to pop back in for lunch is such a bonus. That’s a great tip about taking the gondola down when conditions get slushy—definitely a perk! We’re also happy to hear you made use of the in-unit washer/dryer and enjoyed the common areas and hot tub. We truly appreciate your feedback and would love to host you again on your next trip!

In the ski village next to restaurants and pubs, the location is only a couple of minutes walk to the gondola. Made our ski trip very convenient and comfortable. Only one stall parking for regular size vehicles. Across the street from the complex is a big keystone parking lot that allows overnight paid parking ($25/night) but be sure to park in the southernmost area that allows trucks/vans or you’ll get ticketed for $120/night.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were pleasantly surprised to see the accomodations matched the website and pictures. Spacious, clean and had more amenaties than I am used to. Great place and would recommend it to others. Only drawback was the criptic way in which to receive your keys to the condo. It would help if a lockbox was located on the premises and additional parking for a group of 10.

We rented this condo for a few days to hang out with the family (my wife and I, plus two teenagers). The condo is spacious and comfy. There's a large table and spacious living room for when you want to hang out together. We also loved the amenities on the first floor. My son and I made use of the pool tables and hotubs. This is also a convenient location for dining and shopping. There's a lot of good places to eat in walking distance, but you are also a short drive from everything you might want to make your vacation awesome (dining, activities, hikes, shopping, etc.). Check-in and check-out process were really smooth and easy. Plus the underground parking was a nice perk. We loved it!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Buffalo Lodge 8370 was a beautiful and comfortable place for our family of 5 adults and 3 kids to stay while we skied our favorite mountain. Keystone. I would recommend updating the website with the 3rd bedroom sleeping arrangements and picture. The third bedroom is a queen bunk on bottom and single bunk on top with no trundle bed. My daughter’s family of five was going to use this room thinking it slept 2 adults and 3 toddlers nicely but they didn’t all fit. The picture of this room appears to be out of date. The temperature in the unit was also difficult to regulate. Overall, great amenities and so nice to be close to the mountain to take breaks throughout the day.

Great place to stay for a ski trip with easy access to several resorts: keystone, a-basin, and breckenridge. Easily fit my group of friends and would love to stay again! Bonus there's multiple hot tubs for after ski recharging.

The property was pretty much exactly like described. Great location & amenities, especially for skiing. A couple of things that need to be checked out are the kitchen sink faucet that doesn’t seem to be working properly and also would be great if they would switch to non-stick pans because it’s a pain to clean every time you cook. I would also consider replacing the trundle bed/mattress because that is pretty bad to sleep on. Other than that we had a great time & can’t really complain about the unit. The building should reconsider their ski lockers so that people with larger units get larger lockers (not sure why they would make them all the same size when clearly different units have different requirements).

This condo has so much space and gorgeous views! So peaceful here; the entire resort only had a dozen people we saw at any time because it was the first days of June. Never fear; there were still pizza, crepes, and groceries available within walking distance, and nearby Dillon was up and running full speed for other places to eat and shop. Yes, even skiing on the green slopes and above at Arapahoe; please be sure you know how to ski, as bunny slopes are long-closed by this point in the year. Loved the on-site hot tubs. Only disappointment was the resort did not open mini-golf while we were there, which was the biggest thing my youngest had looked forward to doing! The course looked great, it just teased him every day not to be able to play. Overall, a perfect condo in the most beautiful location!

I've rented many rentals in the resort and this is by far the cleanest and spacious one yet. The gondolas are a 5-7 min walk from the rental unit. Will def rent again.

The condo was exactly as promised, with convenient (but late in afternoon) checkin. The location can hardly be beat, opening in to the base village. Food, rentals, etc all super close. Easy parking. Only issue we experienced was broken elevators, which were a difficulty when arriving, since luggage needed to go up 4 flights. They were fixed by the end of the next day. Would definitely rent again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great space for our ski trip! We had the kids and both sets of grandparents with us and everyone was comfortable. Nice view overlooking the ice rink close walk to everything in river run. Dryer wasn’t working which could have been a vacation ruiner (there’s a communal one but I don’t like those) I called maintenance and they were up within a couple hours and fixed it super fast. Check in was easy and everyone was friendly. Could have a little more dresser space but that’s an issue in almost every hotel/condo

This was our first visit to Keystone in about 30 years. The area has changed in many ways, but as we remembered, River Run Village was a great choice to stay in regard to location. This property was extremely clean and comfortable. We expected a certain amount of noise due to its location in the village, but the sound insulation was great. We mainly only heard outside noise if the windows were open & rarely heard noise from the hall or other units. The kitchen was well supplied with cooking equipment with a couple of notable exceptions. I would suggest the addition of a baking sheet or two and a steamer pot or basket as well as kitchen scissors. Otherwise everything I needed was there & I could make do with what was supplied. The living/dining room was large and comfortable. The bedrooms were also large and the beds were reasonably comfortable, although the king bed was getting a little tired on one side. The only "problem" we had was not about the unit itself, but was important to our enjoyment. We had been to Keystone in September, again many years ago, and found the resort to be busy enough without being crowded. This time, largely due to Covid I'm sure, there was very little open as far as restaurants and shops. Also the gondola was not running, which was one of the things we were looking forward to as an activity. (Ride up, look around, hike down.) Buffalo Lodge & The Dakota (where our friends stayed) were both being deep cleaned while we were there, which I understand needs done, but did result in some inconvenience & noise in the halls. Again, we weren't bothered so much inside the unit, but getting to and from was rather loud. So, in summary - we loved the condo & location, but would not return in October!

We enjoyed being part of River Run Village, though most of the shops were closed except on the weekends. The unit was very clean and the property management company was very professional and took care of our needs! Our only complaint is the parking situation (which we were aware of beforehand). We know it is due to the HOA, but still a pain only to be able to park one car for an 11-person unit.

We can’t thank you enough for the kind words about the cleanliness of the unit. Your review means a lot to us and lets us know we’re on the right track! Unfortunately, this property does not have air conditioning but this is not uncommon in Summit County. We do provide a fan in each bedroom closet to help with the summer heat. If this property does not have a fan at time of check in just let us know and we can bring out to the unit. I always recommend opening up a window to let in that cool mountain air, it really helps cool the unit off.

Loved everything about this condo and they provided a lot of things that made it easier, like extra toilet paper and stuff. Only complaint would be the hours of the pool and hot tub. Check out time is 10 but pool doesn’t open until 10, it should be open at 8. Overall was a perfect weekend. Will definitely be back. Christa

The condo was perfect for our family. We have a 2 1/2 year old and a 2 month old, so we are always concerned about sleeping arrangements, safety and finding fun things for our 2 1/2 year old to do. There was plenty of space for my husband and I, our kids and our good friend who came with us. The property was very clean and had everything we needed. There were two playgrounds very close to the condo and lots of places for our toddler to run around. We were so close to all of the liking and exploring we wanted to do. It was a ghost town in Keystone because of the time of year and COVID, but that was fine for us. We made most meals in the condo and that was easy to do because we had everything we needed in the kitchen. Overall we had a great stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: OVerall the place was great; the location is amazing. You can walk to anything you may need and are close to hikes as well. The shower in the main bathroom didn't work, which made getting ready take a bit longer. The biggest complaint I have is that the keys for the front door work about 50% of the time.

We didn't need anything while there, so can't comment on the service if you need something during your stay. Overall, we were very happy with it indeed.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved this unit. Check in was very easy. The unit itself is fantastic - very well furnished, very comfortable, very clean. High quality linens and towels that were clean and not worn out. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. Washer and dryer in the unit was very useful. We had a family of 5 - 2 parents and 3 kids ages 6, 4, and 1, and had plenty of space. We had the master BR, two older kids slept in the bunkbeds (biggest bunkbeds I've ever seen btw), baby in the 3rd bedroom. Amazingly convenient location in the village, walk to the gondola in 5 minutes. Easy drive to Breckenridge, Dillon, Frisco (less than 25 min). Less than 2 hour drive from Denver (assuming no horrible traffic jams). We arrived on Sunday afternoon and left Friday morning and there was no heavy traffic on the way to and from Keystone. The management people were great - we had one issue where at night there was someone smoking on the balcony below us, and smoke was wafting into our unit and causing it to smell. We had to have our windows open because it was a little warm and there is no air conditioning (evidently none of the places have a/c and you always have windows open for air to circulate). The entire building is supposed to be non-smoking, so we were very annoyed. We couldn't close the windows because it would be really uncomfortable. We called the management people and they dealt with it easoly (not sure how). My only complaint was that the fans that are provided in the unit to place in windows and circulate cool air from outside were dirty, they need to either be cleaned or replaced. Also the sofas in the living room are not that comfortable, but I think they are sleeper sofas and that's probably the reason. Overall we loved our trip, and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!!

We just needed a week away and booked this condo and it was absolutely amazing!!! I was afraid it wouldn't be as nice as the photos but it was even better! The kitchen was stocked with all we needed to cook throughout the week. The location was great - it was close to several other mountain towns and the kids thoroughly enjoyed the community area with pool tables, hot tub, and swimming pool. We had an amazing week! Thanks so much for allowing us the privilege of renting your beautiful condo!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We visited Keystone during the transition between summer and winter sports, so most of the River Run was closed down and everything was very quiet. The property was very nice and easily accommodated our party of 7 (4 adults and 3 kids). The kitchen and bathrooms have all been recently updated and were completed to a high standard. The bedrooms and living areas are a little dated, but fairly standard for Summit County condos. All of the linens and towels were high quality. We had an issue getting the DVD player working, and never managed to complete our request for help. There were plenty of other things to do, so it wasn't a major issue for us. The community pool was nice, although it was drained half-way through our stay. The local hiking and mountain biking trails were excellent, and everyone that we met was friendly. I recommend Jersey Boys Pizza in Dillon, and the historic downtown of Frisco.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband, our toddler, and I came to keystone to work on a job for a week. We brought 4 guys to help us on the job. I cooked their meals at the condo, and the kitchen was amply supplied for some serious cooking! We enjoyed the River Run Village, paved bike trails, and downhill biking on the mountain. The condo was more spacious then I expected with wonderful baths and linens. We felt like it was very inexpensive for the size and features.

The location was convenient, the condo was spacious, the amenities were nice. The kitchen was a bit unorganized and we encountered some dirty dishes which had been put away. But aside from that, the condo was clean. My husband loved the towels. We would stay here again.
