The host’s communication was very fast. Our shower drain was clogged and within hours the maintenance team had it fixed. The amenities were great. We had a 6yr and 10yr old with us, they loved playing pool in the lobby and we enjoyed relaxing on the couch and going in the hot tubs. The ski lockers were very useful next to the lobby. We appreciated that our unit had 2 humidifiers and box fans. We used them the entire week we were there. Our bed was comfortable. We liked that the parking for this unit was underground in a parking garage, that way we did not need to worry about ice or snow on the car since we are from Florida. The proximity to everything was so convenient. A huge bonus was our view to the mountain slopes. The space was nice and clean and the management was very responsive and helpful. We enjoyed the bike paths and the many hiking areas. Having many adventures and stores close by kept us close to our vacation home without having to drive too far. Great location!
Outstanding location; super convenient to skiing and restaurants. Stop for groceries on your way to picking up the key and can leave the car in the garage until departure because everything is within a five minute walk. Everything was excellent. The only problems were that you could not adjust the heat, and it was hotter than we liked it. Also, the elevator to the garage did not work when we checked in, was fixed, and did not work again on our check out. Fun time at River Run and a good price for a Fortes day.- Reviewed On: 12/8/2023

The location is perfect just a quick 2 minute walk to the gondola, loved staying in the resort area and close to the shops and restaurants. Buffalo lodge also has 2 nice outdoor hot tubs which we really enjoyed after a day on the slopes. The check in and check out process is a breeze and very easy to do. We didn’t really have any major issues aside from the lights being off in the hot tub area both nights. I contacted maintenance about the lights both nights and within an hour the issue was resolved. The biggest complaint I have is that the door does not block any of the noise from the highway. We were woken up several times during the night by other loud guests in the hallway / outside - that was the one and only negative comment about this stay.- Reviewed On: 11/15/2019

Cozy and Convenient!
We couldn’t have booked a better unit for our little family of three. This was our first time visiting Keystone, so we were nervous about picking the right spot - mainly for convenience to the slope, restaurants and village. Our son is three so we didn’t want to be taking busses, or have to venture too far out. This condo was PERFECT! Great underground heated parking. Easy friendly check in. Just a few steps to everything! We couldn’t get over how great it was! If there was a wait at a restaurant, we just walked back to the condo and waited. So nice when toting a kid around. Speaking of restaurants, this unit is right across from Montezuma Roadhouse and it was our favorite. Don’t skip it! Also, Pizza on the Run. So good! The owners supply you with everything you could need - plenty of dishes, pans, cups, a blender and a coffee pot. There were also lots of condiments and oils etc in the cupboard for cooking. We appreciate that when we're out of town and want to cook so we don't have to buy everything from scratch. The bed was super comfy -- I just wished it was a king instead of a queen. The furniture is nice. Plenty of pillows and blankets. Nice soaps to use in the bath and plenty of towels. We took advantage of the humidifier they supply because of the dry mountain air. If you haven't stayed in Keystone, buffalo lodge is steps from the town and the gondola. It has underground parking and I love being so close to the lift. I was able to rent the property rather last minute and it was a lovely stay. I usually rent on the mountain house side for close proximity for my kids to the ski school but it was so so nice to be on the river run side for a change. Beautiful, well stocked &a decorated condo with prime location!
I was able to rent the property rather last minute and it was a lovely stay. I usually rent on the mountain house side for close proximity for my kids to the ski school but it was so so nice to be on the river run side for a change. The only thing we could have asked for was a longer stay after we seen how beautiful and well appointed the condo was!!! Chris and Becky have everything you could possibly need, even little details such at shampoo, lotions, additional outlets for charging electronics and a fabulous kitchen. The resort has four hot tubs, pool and lounge area with pool tables which were very enjoyable after a busy day of sight seeing and hiking, after the hot tub we would relax in the condo in front of the fireplace when the chilly mountain air moved in. We loved the village, there are so many wonderful places to eat/drink and shop within walking distance and the business owners are very friendly. We enjoyed Estes Park, the Stanley Hotel, Rocky Mt Nat'l Park, the Royal Gorge and Glenwood Springs. Highly recommend the Royal Gorge train ride and park, we did the Oktoberfest lunch and the food was excellent. The drive on West Hwy 70 to Glenwood Springs is breathtaking as is Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park. We also drove over Swan Mountain to Cannon City to the Royal Gorge, very pretty drive!! We defiantly would love to come back and stay longer next time, four days was just to short of time!! Thank you for sharing your wonderful condo, we really enjoyed our stay!!! Nice kitchen, clean and updated. Nice televisions, although there was only 1 remote for two televisions which was slightly inconvenient. Great location to the slopes and quaint shops/restaurants. The thermostat was very difficult to keep temperature comfortable and had to open the windows for comfort. Love the humidifier and plenty of towels. Great condo with great views and amenities
I would definitely stay here again. It was walking distance to the gondola/main lift. Could see the run from the condo. Condo had nice amenities (multiple hot tubs, pool, pool table), plus all the benefits of being in the middle of Keystone.- Reviewed On: 1/25/2016

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and so glad that we spent time selecting this condo at Buffalo Lodge. I cooked a complete Thanksgiving dinner in the kitchen (even had a roasting pan furnished, wow!). Everything was just as we wanted and expected or beyond expectations. The rooms were large, the views were tremendous, Lodge staff were helpful, but wish we had some real snow while we were there--runs were icy but that didn't stop us. What a great place to stay! I booked a couple of nights for a last-minute getaway and am VERY pleased with the accommodations. You get a genuine Colorado ski-lodge feel with the fireplace, lots of warm wood, and the cabin-like decor. Honestly, everything was just perfect so I'll only give a few highlights. I really appreciated the large kitchen and bathroom. These are two areas where you'd like to get things done and don't want to feel cramped. The large, open, and well-lit kitchen was especially nice. I was impressed with the amount of (beautiful granite) counter space as well as full-sized appliances. The bed was very comfortable, and I would know with my back. This is one of those things that you never know until your first night. Rest assured. This unit is South-Facing (read: Sun-Facing)! If you live in Colorado you know that this is a HUGE bonus. This unit also overlooks the ski slopes and gondola. Great views! Downstairs is everything else you could want/need, including 2 hot tubs, ski lockers, laundry, rec room with 2 pool tables, big screen tv, etc. I won't even go into hiking, mountain biking, lake activities, etc. There is so much to do here any time of year. BONUS: The Snake River runs just between the condo and ski slopes. Full of trout, mostly browns, lots over 12 inches. I found a couple of pockets holding 6 to 8 LARGE trout. The guy at the "trading post" said he doesn't recommend eating them because of mining runoff, but I always catch and release anyway. Great Place!
This entire area was amazing and the condo was beautiful! My husband and I have been married for 20 years and we stayed here for 3 nights, at a GREAT PRICE. The instructions were right on and check-in was simple. This place is so versatile! There is something for every age, any level of "adventurer", as well as those who just want to lounge and relax. Nearby, there are several little towns surrounding a beautiful "lake" (Dillon Reservoir). The entire place is simple to navigate and the scenery is spectacular. There are information centers speckled throughout, so if you have questions, someone is standing by, but no one bothers you. We went up the Gondola to the top of the mountain twice to just kick back and enjoy the view. We took in a spa, a free outdoor concert, a really neat farmer's market, rented a canoe for 2 hours and explored Dillon Reservoir in it, hiked a little, ate out, shopped, relaxed in our cozy room by the stone fireplace - and just had a wonderful, wonderful time! And there were MANY things yet to take part in if we ever were to return. It looked like maybe in the winter during ski season, that the place is probably packed - but at the time we went at the end of July... I think we may have had the entire floor to ourselves! The only thing I would note for condo searchers is this: it is described as "Sleeps 4". Now technically this is correct, a queen bed in the bedroom and a fold-out couch. But, after being in it, we agreed that in our opinion, it would be very cramped for 4 grown people (or teenagers). Possibly 2 adults plus a small child or two. But, if you have 4 adults and need to economize and pack in - this would work. It is absolutely PERFECT for two, though!- Reviewed On: 8/1/2015
