We enjoyed our stay. Great location.
Location Excessive outside noise at times- Reviewed On: 8/3/2026
Thank you for your feedback. The home is located in the heart of River Run Village, and during your stay the village was hosting one of Keystone's annual festivals. This event is held on the same dates each year and is publicly advertised in advance. Guests who choose to stay in River Run Village should expect increased pedestrian activity, live entertainment, and associated noise during festival weekends. The property's location is accurately represented in the listing, and many guests specifically book the village to be within walking distance of these events and amenities. We appreciate your stay and thank you for sharing your comments.Summit County Mountain Retreats staff

We loved this stay. This is a very spacious and well taken care of condo in a prime location, just a few minutes walk from the River Run gondola (and right by Keystone's main rental shop!). The space was cozy with a nice balcony and view, and a lovely fireplace. The kitchen was perfect and very well-appointed; I had everything I needed for us to cook meals throughout the week. The bed was very comfortable too. It was great having access to our own locker on the first floor to store our ski gear. We also had easy access to the hot tubs in the main building along with the hot tubs in the sister building. Parking was easy to handle too. Only real notes are there seemed to be someone's old contact lens stuck on the living room side table that was missed by the cleaners; also, the building itself only had one functioning elevator which frequently made for a long wait, but we know that's not the host's fault! Overall it was a lovely stay, would love to stay again. Thank you!- Reviewed On: 2/26/2026

Great Condo in Keystone
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have rented from Summit County Mountain Retreats for at least the past 15 years. They always provide a great experience at a fair price. We have never had a problem renting from SCMR but whenever we have had a question they are prompt to answer or respond. This condo was no exception. The location was great, it was well furnished and clean. While many photos are "expanded" to make areas look bigger, this condo was actually larger than it looked in the pictures. Would very comfortably accommodate 4 persons (if one bathroom would be enough). Highly recommend.- Reviewed On: 2/17/2026

Walk to the gondola
Overall, a good stay. The place was very roomy, but I felt like there were some small issues that could be addressed:-There were no curtains in the bedroom (only blinds) and this was somewhat annoying because the parking lot is lit all night.-Kitchen items are limited. Among the items, some of the sparsest ones were the 5 spoons and 4 bowls. Also the pans were pretty beat up. -The appliances were dated.- Reviewed On: 3/7/2025
Thank you for your review! Guests are always welcome to request additional kitchen items if they are needed & our team will happily deliver these to the unit.Summit County Mountain Retreats staff

Spacious and Comfortable in a Great Location
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a fantastic experience in Buffalo Lodge #8391 and would book the same unit again. If it isn't available, we'd book a different unit with Summit County Mountain Retreats, they made the trip easy. The unit was in a great location, on the 4th floor close to the elevator but tucked in a corner, so hallway traffic was never right at the door. It is quite spacious for a one bedroom and perfect for a couple. The appliances are older but in perfect condition. The king bed had a foam topper that made it quite comfortable. It is a straight, level walk from Buffalo Lodge to the River Run gondola. The ski school and gear rental is the first thing you pass.Because the unit faces a large parking lot, there is some vehicle noise, particularly pre-dawn when they plow the lot. We used the background-noise function of a cell phone to mask the vehicle sounds. The living room furniture was comfortable. Because there were just two of us we didn't use the sofa bed. (The bedding is inside the coffee table.)The fireplace is gas and activates with a flip of a switch. It warms up quickly and throws quite a bit of heat, which was nice in the morning since we kept the bedroom colder. The unit keys also open the garage, the lobby, and the ski locker room. If you go to the hot tub bring a key to get back into the lobby. We didn't use the lobby amenities or the laundry, but both looked nice.Summit County Mountain Retreats emailed very clear check in directions a week before arrival and again the day of arrival that made check-in a breeze. Our only hiccup was that the garage entrance is just past the "no thru traffic" sign.We hope to visit again.- Reviewed On: 1/28/2024

A week in the Golden Aspens
Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second time to stay at the Buffalo Lodge. Because of the time of year, it was a quiet stay. My husband and I are not billiards people, but we enjoyed the community room and played pool every night. We also enjoyed the hot tub--to ourselves. The condo was clean, comfortable, spacious and had everything we needed.- Reviewed On: 9/30/2023

We stayed here for 2 nights. Easy check in, prompt responses to MINOR requests. Super clean, had everything we needed. We ziplined in Leadville, hiked sapphire point. Pool, 3 hot tubs all in order. Super cute little “village” with shops and restaurants in the middle of the resorts, pool tables, community gas grill (we didnt use). Playgrounds super close, yummy yogurt shop. Beds were totally fine for us, large bathroom, couch bed very comfy. Lots of board games to use. Key card entry, parking garage. We had an excellent stay and would return again for sure! THANK YOU!!!- Reviewed On: 8/14/2021

Walking distance to slopes
Property was very easy to locate, clean, quite and close to slopes. Due to COVID, we stayed in and cooked. Grocery shopping is bit far, you have to drive to Dillon which is about 15 min drive, not bad. This property also has lockers, we used them every day, very convenient. Would definately recommend and would stay here again.- Reviewed On: 1/30/2021

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was a great stay. We loved it. It was so beautiful and went perfect with the outdoor scenery. It was a little tough to find the parking garage and even more tough to find the right entrance to our specific building(that sign was not in a good place). We could figure out if we had cable or not but that didnt matter much to us. It was insanely comfy and we loved every minute of it. We are looking forward to going back.- Reviewed On: 9/14/2019

Totally gorgeous!
We were there during the off season, but it was still so much fun! We opted to eat in the village for a few of our meals and were not disappointed. Zuma’s was our favorite. We logged many hours on the balcony. It’s a perfect location for rambling around in the mountains, which was perfect for us who had to get used to the altitude. Our only complaint was that the living room furniture felt cheap and wasn’t very comfortable, but it’s such a small complaint compared to the rest of our stay! We will definitely be back if given the opportunity.- Reviewed On: 7/18/2019

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was as advertised. The linens smelled fresh. There were extra pillows and plenty of blankets. The kitchen was well-stocked. Fantastic!
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved this vacation Rental! The wife and I love Keystone, so we spend two days staying here and it was great. A mere 3 minute walk to the gondola (maybe 5 in Ski boots) The room was very clean, cozy, and above expectations. Comfy Couch, Comfy Bed, Fireplace, Nice Kitchen. LOVED that we got access to the hot tubs. Nothings better than a hot tub after a day of skiing! Private Parking and Ski Lockers were a great addition as well! We will definitely be coming back!- Reviewed On: 2/8/2017

Lovely Stay at the Buffalo Lodge
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My friend and I had a long weekend stay at the Buffalo Lodge and it was a fantastic experience! The rustic decor was perfect for the setting, and the condo came fully equipped with all amenities we could possibly need (hair dryer, fresh towels, extra pillows & blankets). The condo also had a full kitchen with kitchenware, and even a crockpot! The location was ideal as it was a short (2-3 minute) walk to the Gondola and the Lodge itself was centrally located in River Run Village. The complimentary underground covered parking was also a great touch!- Reviewed On: 12/9/2016
