Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Comfortable and nicely located for walking to dinner and the ski lift. Having the ski locker was helpful. We made dinner 2 nights and the pots and pans were nice for cooking. Only negative for us was that it was hot (turned the thermostat all the way down and it was still hot), so we had the windows opened, but then it was kind of noisy outside. Price you pay for being in walking distance of the lift, though. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Plenty of room for the 4 of us and bonus to gave a large bed for each kid. The outdoor pool and hot tubs were amazing and a quick walk to gondola and shopping. Great communication from SCMR, and they quickly addressed anything we needed. My only wish was space to put our luggage once we unpacked, both closets were pretty full. Walking with the boots and all loaded with equipment! The apartment is larger than the standard one so great since with our 3 years old we stayed home after a day of skiing. He had plenty of room to play and move around. Everything in the apartment worked well. Hot water. Kitchen equipment. All. The only comment we have is that the mattresses are soft ones, and we are used to hard mattress. So that caused us all some trouble sleeping. Not that they are bad, just not the ones we are used to. The Good:
Affordable, cozy but enough space for a party of 5 not to feel crowded. Staff highly helpful and amenities worth while. Picking a location on the resort was the best move for skiing trips we have made. Will be returning!
The Great:
Very clean. Having a kitchen allowed us to make some memorable dinners. Storage for gear located on first floor. Walking distance to ski gondola. No loud neighbors and great views of mountain.
The Bad:
Honestly nothing major and practically nothing. Everything was awesome. This first one is really our bad for not reading some directions better, but wished retrieving keys offsite was more clear or just having key retrieval onsite would be a nice touch.
After retrieving said keys we only had 3 keys for 5 people, though customary amount, convenience would be for everyone to have a key so when being split up on slope a person not having a key doesn't have to wait for an individual with key to access resort/room.
Overall: Worth IT!!! Worth every penny.

This was an extended family vacation, with my parents and wife and child. And I must say that this was just what we needed. The kitchen was well stocked, and both rooms were large enough for us. We did leave a note for maintenance when we left for two issues, but not anything pressing that had to be fixed while we were there. One note, the garage is a tight fit for larger vehicles. We had a Ford Transit and while it fit fine, we had to park under a different building, due to the small cars taking the only spaces we could have maneuvered into. We called the building, and told them we would park in a difference section, and there was no other option. They were fine with that, just something to keep in mind. We plan on using this property again for future visits to Keystone.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay in the last week of July 2015 was wonderful! The condo met our expectations completely. It is well-maintained (spots on the carpet are what kept me from giving it top ratings), but aside from that, the rooms are fantastic. The only other thing that wasn't perfect was the sleeper sofa - it wasn't super comfy. It wasn't awful but it wasn't level and the mattress left a little to be desired. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes, flatware, pots & pans. They even supplied a crockpot, blender and a nice coffee maker. The TV could use a longer cable line so it's easier to shift for viewing from the couch and chairs, but it is set up nicely if someone is at the table. I imagine this is typical of condos, but there is virtually no overhead lighting in the bedrooms. The lighting is better in the separate bathroom, but the vanity space is better in the master bath - so for make-up or contacts application, a choice must be made for lighting or space. The grounds are wonderful, but honestly, there is not as much to do at Keystone as there is at Copper or Breckenridge unless you love to mountain bike - in that case, Keystone mountain is amazing. The shops are very handy and not terribly overpriced, as I expected since they have the monopoly at the base of the mountain. We had a wonderful time and I would highly recommend this property to family and friends.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice 2bd in Dakota. It's one of the larger 2bd, and having stayed in a smaller one the extra sq footage is really nice to have. Also thanks to SCMR, the pool at Dakota was closed and they were very quick to get us access to the one next door.I would note this condo does need more wine glasses and a new skillet.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Condo was absolutely wonderful! There was a large problem with our reservation and they would do absolutely nothing for us other than offer us a very small discount for the next time that we visited. What next time? With such bad customer service we will not be returning. We will stay at this resort again because we loved it so much, but we WILL NOT be booking it through Summit County Mountain Retreats since there are many others who do bookings for the same resort.

The problem referred to in this review is not actually a problem. This guest made her reservations more than a month in advance. She picked the exact unit that she wanted. A few days before she arrived, she noticed that we had "last minute" deals for vacant properties. Thus, she incorrectly believed that she should be given a discount on her existing reservation. Our system does not work this way. If a guest wants to roll the dice and wait until the last moment to make a reservation, then they may get a killer deal, but we may be sold out and it is very likely that the best properties will be sold out.

The pool and the hot-tubs were great. Everything was perfect except we were locked out of the condo when we arrived and had to go through a scavenger hunt to locate the key to get into the condo. I neglected to ask about the policy if you arrive at night as to how to get in. I would have liked this procedure to be clear. Other than that, we would definitely recommend this condo.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We are frequent visitors to Keystone, but this was our first time at Dakota. The big draw for us was the two bedrooms with king sized beds. That worked well for us. This condo is about as far from the gondola as we would go. Checking our skis/boards at the end of the day right next to the gondola for $5/skier/night was well worth it. There's a nice outdoor pool and hot tubs at Dakota but we didn't use them on this trip. Our only issue was the pull-out sofa bed. The mattress had a long rip down one of the sides. I communicated this to the owners in a separate email. All told, we would rent here again.

David, Thank you for staying with us. We appreciate your comments. We have put a service order in to examine the sleeper sofa and determine if it needs to be repaired or replaced. We are glad you had a good time.
