My boyfriend and I loved our stay here! It was so spacious, the views were pretty, and there was an active and friendly community near us. The balcony view was so adorable and had a clear view of the mini golf course! The room itself was cute and clean, and the apartment had more than enough space for the two of us! The only complaint we had was that it was hot (we came in the summer) in the apartment, but they did provide 3 portable fans to use, which helped!

This condo had everything we needed. it was very comfortable, especially with the gas fireplace which made it cozy. The location is great for walking to the gondola and all of the village shops. We would certainly stay in this condo again in the future and we'll bookmark it accordingly.

Great location with included parking spot. Unit was as described and found it to be clean upon arrival. Kitchen has a basic setup but does not include a cookie sheet, cooling rack, large mixing bowls, or serving dishes.
We could only get one of the two windows in the primary bedroom open, which considering there is no AC and the unit is on the 5th is something to note for the summer months. Balcony is nice, but there is no screen door for the summer/fall months.
Check-in and checkout were simple following the provided directions. However, check-in is at 4:30pm and check-out is at 10am, which I found annoying for the price per night; you can add additional hours for $15/hr, if available. Overall, recommend for a couple or small family or even a group of friends.

This condo is fantastic, great location, lots of room and quality furnishings (beds, mattresses, couch etc). It's always unfortunate when a nice place is poorly managed, I always feel bad for the owners. We arrived after driving all day, insane traffic delays etc. The condo didn't have enough towels for the number of people booked. When I messaged the management company about the shortage, they told me I had to get back in the car and come and get them at their office up the road!!!! It was New Years Eve and the village was a giant traffic jam. I wasn't going anywhere after driving all day. I asked if they could just drop them off the next morning when they had staff on site and they refused and said I had to come pick them up. I escalated the issue to VRBO, wasting an hour of my vacation time, only to have them tell VRBO that they'd be happy to drop them off the next day. Why couldn't they just have done that in the first place? Why is customer service so hard to find these days?

Responsive host. Great location. It is one of the best locations to stay and walk to River Run village and Keystone ski resort. It also saved us the need to find other parking for going to Keystone. Responsive host. Great location. It is one of the best locations to stay and walk to River Run village and Keystone ski resort. It also saved us the need to find other parking for going to Keystone. The mattresses were great. For reference, we are a family of three.

My daughter and I only stayed on night. We loved the location. Close to the lifts, restaurants and ice skating. Hot tub was nice and the pool was warm enough to stay in for a while on a cold night. The condo was clean and bed was comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

It's a great condo. Very clean and comfortable. Both the main king mattress and the murphy bed queen mattress have firm memory foam pads on them that are pretty comfortable. My husband didnt sleep as well due to the firmness but I was good. We were grateful for two humidifiers to use while sleeping, as it's super dry in Keystone. There are also several big box fans we used to pull in the cool outside air, which was great due to there being no AC. (We stayed in July and the unit was definitely quite warm, being 5th floor. But we were comfortable.) The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. The pool and large hot tub were wonderful! Would stay here again. Very positive experience.

This condo at the Dakota Lodge was perfect for our quick family getaway. You can walk right to the lifts! The parking garage made for easy parking and access. Our family enjoyed the cozy fireplace, very comfortable beds and quiet atmosphere. The pool and hot tubs were fantastic after skiing. Would definitely stay again!

This rental property was amazing! It had everything needed for an extended weekend. It was very clean and the check in process was a breeze. So convenient to River Run and the shuttle comes right outside. Would definitely stay again !!

The elevator in building sounded like it was breaking when it got to the 5th floor.This was the second time I booked a place with Summit and have good experiences both time. Highly recommend.

Our unit was even ready earlier than the 4:30 time that was in the rental agreement. Summit County Mountain Retreats did a great job! Once you park, you don’t have to leave. Relax and enjoy everything River Run has to offer. Laundry is 1 floor down if you need to wash clothes. Cheap and fast as well. Overall, this was a great experience for our whole family!

This is a beautiful condo and it was very comfortable for our family of 4. Our kids loved the heated outdoor pool and we were excited to see a moose from the balcony! The mattress in the bedroom is very firm so we ended up sleeping on the Murphy bed which we thought was more comfortable.

This is a beautiful condo and it was very comfortable for our family of 4. Our kids loved the heated outdoor pool and we were excited to see a moose from the balcony! The mattress in the bedroom is very firm so we ended up sleeping on the Murphy bed which we thought was more comfortable.

We had a comfortable stay in Keystone at the end of April in the condo. It was just minutes down the road from Arapahoe Basin and Dillon. The condo was attractively furnished and the layout provided us with plenty of room. The management company is excellent.

I've stayed multiple times in the Dakota and nearby Buffalo & Expedition complexes in the past, and was aware that May is a very quiet time in the building and not much would be open for business, but The Crepe Stand and Rockin' R Ranch Trading Post in the village were open, and a short drive to nearby Goat Soup & Whiskey Tavern. And close to A-Basin, Dillon, & Frisco. The rate was very good, about the same as a hotel in Dillon for a condo! The bed was perfect for me (a comfortable memory foam mattress) and the place was exceptionally clean, everything was very good with kitchen & bathroom, gas fireplace, wifi & satellite TV, parking & elevator. The info provided and communication with SCMR was excellent, with the exception of not knowing in advance that the pool & hot tub & sauna would be closed. I understand it's off-season and maintenance needs to be done, but none of the three Dakota units I researched before booking mentioned the closure in their info, even though the sign on the pool door said closed May 1-15, and I'd booked on May 1. I actually did get a call from SCMR - when I was an hour away from arriving in Keystone, how was that helpful? If I'd have known earlier I would've arranged for a unit at one of the many other complexes that had functioning pools & hot tubs. A somewhat minor thing, but in the future I'll make a specific inquiry to verify, prior to booking. Otherwise, it was a great place to stay in Keystone.

We appreciate your comments about our property. We are so sorry that the pool was closed during your stay. Unfortunately the pool is managed by the HOA of the complex and we have no control over the amenity or its closures. Looking back at our records, our staff reached out to you a few times before check in date to notify you of the closure. We apologize that we were not able to get ahold of you until the day of arrival. We do hope that you will stay with us again though and please reach out for your next booking and we would be more than happy to update you on the status of the pools in all complexes.

The info provided and communication with SCMR was excellent, with the exception of not knowing in advance that the pool & hot tub & sauna would be closed. I understand it's off-season and maintenance needs to be done, but none of the three Dakota units I researched before booking mentioned the closure in their info, even though the sign on the pool door said closed May 1-15, and I'd booked on May 1. I actually did get a call from SCMR - when I was an hour away from arriving in Keystone, how was that helpful? If I'd have known earlier I would've arranged for a unit at one of the many other complexes that had functioning pools & hot tubs. A somewhat minor thing, but in the future I'll make a specific inquiry to verify, prior to booking. Otherwise, it was a great place to stay in Keystone.

I've stayed multiple times in the Dakota and nearby Buffalo & Expedition complexes in the past, and was aware that May is a very quiet time in the building and not much would be open for business, but The Crepe Stand and Rockin' R Ranch Trading Post in the village were open, and a short drive to nearby Goat Soup & Whiskey Tavern. And close to A-Basin, Dillon, & Frisco. The rate was very good, about the same as a hotel in Dillon for a condo! The bed was perfect for me (a comfortable memory foam mattress) and the place was exceptionally clean, everything was very good with kitchen & bathroom, gas fireplace, wifi & satellite TV, parking & elevator. Since we rented in the off season, I wish Summit County Mountain Rentals would've warned us that all of the restaurants/grocers would be closed in Keystone during our stay. This was our first time in the area and we didn't know where to go or where the other mountain towns were. Fortunately, Dillon is only ten minutes away. 2. This is minor but I wish they would've supplied a larger shampoo/conditioner-enough for two showers. Again, it's a small thing.

Loved our time at the condo. The check-in process was very thorough and the place clean! They kitchen was stocked with all the cookware and supplies you could need which was great since we stayed for almost 2 weeks. Loved all the little nooks to read or relax.

Our stay was wonderful! Beautiful & stylish condo. Perfect kitchen with everything needed. Comfortable beds. Condo was sparkling clean. Room has great views. The grounds were beautiful with the nearby river rushing through it. Trails were fun to explore & easy to enjoy with little kids. Close to the Dillon reservoir & other easy local nature trails. There were some shops open at the resort and it was nice to check them out.
Kids loved the playground & i noticed they regularly were disinfecting it. It was a very quiet stay since tourism has slowed down drastically because of nation wide decline in travel. Even though it’s known as a winter ski town, there is plenty to do in Keystone and neighboring towns in the summer. This condo stay was perfect for a mountain getaway for our small family. We would highly recommend it & would love to enjoy it again.

This place was great all around. Great location, short walk to the gondola. Location includes pool, 2 hot tubs outdoors, a sauna, and ski lockers. Right out front of the building is the ice rink. The parking garage is heated and easy to maneuver. The check in process was simple, the communication was great and simple. The unit has single use shampoo and soap of needed, plenty of towels, and any utensils you may need if you plan to cook. You’ll want to grab condiments if desired. The condo also has games and cable for groups of people. Definitely recommend!

The view from the balcony shows the mini golf course with gorgeous mountains behind. Sun sets on the right side from the penthouse balcony and it's quite beautiful, should you catch it. Everything was spotless, very homey and could see there was enough room for our teenage son if he would've come. Tv was easy to function, there were no funky tricks but there are 2 controllers. The bathroom was spacious but there's always a fan going and no way to shut it up or off. The bed was comfortable, but probably needs a small amount of padding. We didn't sleep seamlessly but it definitely kept us longer in the morning in it. Parking is clean and safe under the lodge but the elevator is slow, be warned. Our only complaint was the neighbor's very loud, late arrival and screaming small children next door on our last night. For God's sake, I wish the walls were thicker for moments like that. Amazing place! Clean, comfy bed, great amenities. Beautiful kitchen, views. Amazing shower. The only issue we had was we couldn’t check in til 5 pm because I made the reservation 23 hours beforehand. But they were nice and allowed us to use the pool til we got in. I would just hope it’s communicated to other if you book the place less the 24 hours that you can’t get there til after. All in all in he scheme of that very minor issue it was amazing and would stay again.

My only grievance (which was strong) is the obnoxious disobedience regarding CO's pot laws (all for the tax revenue, don't drink or do drugs...yes potheads, we do exist) - the entire condo complex smelled like pot from sun up to sun down, as do lots of places, though as I understand it, smoking pot in public is NOT legal. I guess potheads are above the law. Is it cool to shoot my 9MM straight up in the sky (not legal) and just hope everyone accepts it? No, that's nonsense. So potheads, please take your pipes and go somewhere where non-smoking is not posted all over the place like Dakota Lodge has - so message to resort - enforce the law and your signs, or don't waste my frustration seeing them as it's obviously just for show..... That was literally the ONLY thing that gives me pause in returning - and I know a TON of people to spread my good or sorrowful words about vacations. It was a big bummer and the reason our next trip from the East Coast in the next 2 months will probably be to Utah. Though I'm not of their faith in that state they are militantly against drugs, so maybe now even our vacations will have political and ideological lines of demarcation as we're all getting more and more divided. Saddens me frankly, but heck, I'll take my former slalom racing skills to a place that obeys laws and aligns with my beliefs I guess a bit better.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental was in a great location, 4-5 min walk from the River Run gondola, and worked great for our three adults. The size was surprisingly large for a one bedroom. We have stayed at other condos in River Run that feel much smaller. Every room is a good size - kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom. My only complaint was that the Murphy bed was not very comfortable. Very convenient, but not very comfortable. Our keys had an issue where the garage/building side didn't work, only the room side, so someone had to let us in the garage when we first arrived. We called property management, who delivered new working keys to us within 30 minutes. Great experience overall.

This rental was a nice getaway at the slopes. The area is incredible, especially when it begins to snow. We stayed here for one night before hitting the slopes the following day. It was very clean, and cozy with the fireplace. There is also a balcony to sit and drink morning coffee. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
