Spring getaway
Overall I really enjoyed my stay. Location was a key for me, close to activities as well as dinning. I would recommend a little better detail in the check-in procedure once a guest arrives at the property. There was no clear direction to which floor my rental was on.

My rental was 2299 My suggestion would be (4-2299) 4 = floor 2299 = rental.

I'm planning to be back next year.

Great get a way
Took my family (3 people) to Keystone for a get a way weekend. The entire rental process was quick and easy. The unit was as advertised at a great price. The unit is located a few steps from the center of Keystone. The pool and hot tubs are in great shape. The management company was very good communicating everything we needed for a relaxing weekend.

Dissapointed
Good location to walk to village (without skiis), but windows off track, bath tub faucet is loose and sensitive, toilet seat needs to be replaced, 4 controllers-two tvs-no instructions-2 parties could not get one of them to function, undrinkable weak coffee, no ice upon arrival. 2 stars at best and not worth the $210.

Cozy condo close to the slopes
Overall this was a great place to stay. Unfortunately with the construction we did not have a direct walk to the gondola but the walk was not bad. The condo complex was nice and well kept up.

Thank you for your review. Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. The south bike bath is open for easier access to the gondola.

Comfortable condo in a nice location
We enjoyed our 4 night stay at Red Hawk 2299. The good location is a convenient walk to the village for morning coffee & breakfast at Inxpot. The parking garage is a nice amenity. The pool is in a lovely setting - we ended up not using it, though, as it was densely inhabited by kids - it made us laugh. We remember only wanting to go to the pool, when on vacation, as kids. The bed was very comfortable - which is a huge plus! We enjoyed sitting on the balcony (maybe keeping some outdoor chair pads, on hand, might make the metal patio chairs a bit more comfy???). The kitchen was equipped well enough to cook most of our own meals. Overall, the condo is cozy & comfortable. One "negative" - the red couch is showing some wear. Part of the issue is the ultra-suede type fabric which tends to show wear easily. There are stains on the fabric - oils from the skin, ie: backs of the legs, feet, arms, etc. tend to leave marks on that type of fabric. It may be perfectly clean but it doesn't look that way. We used bath towels on the places we sat. Perhaps recovering the sofa in a more hearty fabric that might hide some of the wear better???
We have rented from SCMR many times, over the years, & the staff is always very friendly, helpful, responive, & professional. Thank you! Your courtesy is always noticed & appreciated.

Red Hawk #2299 - good for two maybe three
Excellent condo and location. Really better suited to two people. Great view and easy access to gondola. Elevator is a pet peeve, very slow. But overall this is a great place. Love the heated garage.

SWEET LITTLE CONDO HAS ALL YOU NEED
The condo is cute, it was clean and the kitchen well stocked. One of our favorite aspects was the dimmable lights in LR & Dining areas. The couch is very comfy. It does have stains, but that didn't bother us. You can see the gondola and slope out the living area window & it's very close to the elevator. Heated underground parking was a big hit. The bed was uber comfortable - great mattress & pillows. My only criticism is that there is only 1 elevator and many people checking out at the same time was a mess! Also,if you plan to cook, you might want to bring your own knives, not a sharp one in the place, could barely cut an apple :) We would stay here again.

Great place to stay
This is our second year staying in this unit and we love it. It’s clean and I like the couch set up. My kids can sleep on the couch without it being pulled out which is why I love this unit. Also the kitchen table is bigger than the usual round one in these 1 bedroom units and we like that. Honestly, I love this unit over all the other ones we have been in at Red Hawk based on the furniture. We are all able to sleep comfortably without the need to pay more for a 2 bedroom condo.

Great Property Management!
For the first time using Summit County Mountain Retreats and after many trips to Keystone in the last ten years, we had a flawless experience with this rental experience. Our received our keys where and when they were promised, the condo was very clean and organized, and we received every amenity we were promised. The employees were more than helpful, contacting us to see if we needed anything to make our stay more comfortable. Will definitely use SCMR again!

March 30th 2019 weekends stay
Absolutely amazing! Clean and nice condo, great location, amazing view. Would stay here again for sure.
Also, I left my bag of froZen breastmilk in freezer and we left the room to check out. Having a baby that was in the nursery and staying for the day to ski I didn’t want to lose 15 ounce of milk and the maintenance guy drove over from summit county mountain rentals and let me in. He got there in less than 10 minutes and it was so great of him and truly appreciated!

Wonderful condo
We have stayed in a few one bedroom condos in Red Hawk Lodge and this one was the best simply due to the furniture. The couch was bigger with a chaise which made relaxing more comfortable vs. a couch and a chair which is usually in the other units. It also enabled my kids to sleep on it vs. the pull out portion which was way more comfortable. The dining room table was also bigger vs. the small round table in most of the units. My only suggestion would be a king sized bed if it would fit. Overall, a great, clean condo with a view of the ski run right in front of the gondola.

Red Hawk Lodge is great!
Great location with a nice SW View. Nice bedding but uncomfortable pillows. Nice humidifiers and fireplace. Nice hooks and storage bins for ski gear. The small toilet is a problem for a grown man and the seat slides on you, please replace. The fridge is old and very noisy. SCMR does a nice job and always takes great care of us. Keep your key away from your cell phone. Great location, great resort and the snow is fine! Replace the pillows, the mini toilet and the old refrigerator. All the best, UP

Great Condo!
I'll start off by saying that we loved the style and size of the condo. It really was perfect for me and my girlfriend. We stayed here on a Tuesday before keystone had opened and the town and property location was deserted, but with it being so close to A-Basin, which already had a few runs open, it worked out great for us.

The only gripe I had was with the property management company. The check-in time was fairly late at 4pm and we arrived about an hour early. They wanted to charge me $25 for an early check-in fee. I understand why that could be necessary if the resort was packed and the cleaning staff overwhelmed, but this being the off-season and the condo already being ready, it just seemed like an attempt to make a few extra bucks off of me. In the end, we just went an ate and came back later to avoid the fee. Also, they charge a $10 fee if you misplace either of the two plastic hotel keycards, so hang onto those.

Overall, great condo, but I'll probably avoid rentals that are managed by Summit County Mountain Retreats in my future trips to Keystone.

This was a delightful one bedroom condo. It was very close to the village of Keystone. The condo was clean, well-furnished and roomy for the two of us. There were two wonderful hot tubs outside and a lobby with games, etc. Parking underground.

Great Summertime Keystone Rental
I really enjoyed staying at Red Hawk Lodge #2299. It's a little off the beaten track and going the week prior to Labor Day proved to very quiet and restful. Lots of outdoor activities in the area. The lodge is across the parking lot from the Keystone gondola that takes you to up the slopes. The only issue I encountered had nothing to do with the condo, but the shared property management. The shared grill and outdoor firepit was inoperable. When I called they admitted that they had turned off the gas because they had to order parts, but didn't seem concerned about getting them back up and running. Also, the pool had floating leaves and debris in it. I assumed that it was because it was the summer season and not many people were staying at the lodge. The rest of the property was clean and looked great. Overall, a great location, beautiful condo and great price. I would stay here again.

Why Even Use Airbnb?
Let me start by saying that the property was wonderful. The condition and amenities were exactly as advertised and were immaculate. The location was incredible - a short walk to the Gondola or River Run village.

That being said, I will avoid using Summit County Mountain Retreats in the future if possible. I found the property on Airbnb, which is my site of preference for all of my short term vacation rentals. For those that are not aware - Airbnb is a website created to facilitate secure transactions between hosts and hostees. It eliminates the need to search multiple websites, use sketchy third-party sites, or provide personal details to multiple parties. Immediately after booking the reservation ON AIRBNB, I received an Airbnb mail from Summit County Mountain Retreats insisting I provide personal email and phone number or my reservation would be canceled. Once I provided my email they forced the entire interaction off of Airbnb and onto their guest login portal/site. I received numerous emails, text messages, and calls that I did not want (even after requesting my information not be used unless necessary when I provided it) and had to check in and out of the room through their site. Communicating outside of Airbnb is recommended against by Airbnb and might even violate their T&Cs. If you do not wish for your transaction to be facilitated through Airbnb then I would recommend not listing it on Airbnb.

We appreciate all guest feedback. Airbnb began as a site for homeowners to rent out a room in their house. Since 2008, the company has grown and it is now a global online travel agency. Airbnb actively pursues large property managers, like ourselves, to put their listings on their site. Managing a lot of units requires efficient processes and workflows. Airbnb has some deficiencies bridging that gap and thus we do require to communicate with our guests directly after a booking is complete and Airbnb accepts this. We provide a Guest Information Portal with relevant information and check-in instructions. This allows us to keep information 100% up to date at a moment's notice and guests are usually appreciative of this efficient method of communication. We do send communications to guests. Again, most guests are happy that we make ourselves available via a variety of communication methods. We do not contact guests after their stay aside from review requests (one from us, others are automated via software or online travel agencies such as Airbnb). All communication to this guest was related to this specific reservation. We're glad you enjoyed your stay otherwise.

All comments are my opinion. Clean, well maintained, and well managed. Walk across the parking lot to the gondola. A little more storage and a full length mirror and this would be perfect.

FAMILLY SKI VACATION, CONDO WAS A GREAT LOCATION, NICE POOL AND HOT TUB AREA, NICE REC ROOM. GOOD VIEWS FROM THE DECK. OVERALL VERY NICE CONDITION. CHECK IN KIND OF HECTIC. GOT TO THE MOUNTAIN AROUND 11 AND COULD NOT GET THE KEYS, HAD TO DRIVE BACK TO PROPERTY MGMT TO RECEIVE KEYS. KIND OF DISRUPTIVE FOR OUR STAY. MOST COMPANIES WE HAVE STAYED WITH ALLOW YOU TO GET YOUR KEYS AND THEN LET YOU KNOW WHEN THE ROOM IS READY. ALSO ASKED US TO TAKE THE TRASH OUT ON OUR LAST DAY WHEN WE HAD PAID A CLEANING FEE.
Anonymous from Castle Pines - Posted: 3/26/2018
Thank you for the feedback. Unfortunately, we cannot give out keys prior to check-in. It is important that our staff have uninterrupted access to the vacation rental in order to get it cleaned on time, along with all the other vacation rentals that need to be cleaned during ski season. We understand that you may not have entered the vacation rental early, but we can't be certain that is the case with everyone so we have a standard policy across the board. We do ask guests to dispose of trash. This is a huge help to our housekeeping staff that travels across Summit County cleaning. It also helps keep cleaning costs down. Booking a vacation rental is very different than booking a hotel. Thank you for staying with us!

Amazing place with Great views!!
Went up to Keystone for opening weekend this year. Hit Keystone and Breck!! The Condo has a great location. The views are phenomenal. The location was perfect. Right next to the gondola lot where I normally park. Overall one of the best stays I've had up there.

Cozy condo
Overall, this is a nice condo to escape to. The bed was comfortable, it had a well stocked kitchen, and I could watch plenty of stuff on the TV. The WiFi was fast enough. Keystone in mud season (between Summer and Winter) is pretty boring with a lot of places closed until Winter. But it was quiet and that's what I wanted. I enjoyed my experience. Especially the fireplace.

The one knock against it is the TV in the living room is mounted too high. My neck would hurt if watching the TV for any length of time.

Wonderful rental
Great location. Property was clean and provided everything we needed. Pool was closed at the time but we were able to use another location close by. I would stay here again.

Amazing Location and Accommodations
The room was perfect for our stay. It had all items that we needed while we were in the room and all the information we needed about the area so we could get out and enjoy the area. Would love to stay again!
