Description

This 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom condo sleeps 5 with a king bed, twin futon, and a Murphy bed with a queen memory foam mattress. It features mountain views from the private balcony. It's nearly equal distance from River Run Village and the Mountain House Base Area, and a short drive from Arapahoe Basin. Oro Grande Lodge offers shared amenities, including an indoor pool and hot tub.

The entryway offers hooks and a closet to store your gear. The living area features a 50" Smart TV, hardwood floors, a gas fireplace, and vaulted ceilings. For additional sleeping options there is a queen sleeper sofa and a twin futon. Additional sheets and blankets are in a closet. Just off of the living area is the private balcony that offers beautiful mountain views in the distance.

The full-sized kitchen is stocked with all the essential cookware and tableware to make a meal away from home and features tiled granite countertops. The dining area comfortably seats four with two seats at the breakfast bar. The Murphy bed folds out into a queen-sized bed for extra sleeping arrangements. The full bathroom has a double sink vanity and a shower/tub combination with tile surround. It is stocked with towels and an initial supply of toiletries. The spacious bedroom is just down the hall and across from the bathroom. It features a king-sized bed, hardwood floors, Smart TV, working space, and a ceiling fan.

Check in instructions were very easy and the complex was nice. Painters were there during our stay so a lot of commotion starting early in the morning, but we left early each morning to explore so it wasn't much of a bother. The bed in the main room was quite comfortable and the murphy bed was easy to assemble and put away each day. A huge reason I rented a condo was for the full kitchen and it was well stocked with all the cooking dish essentials. The pool area was very clean and a great addition for soaking at the end of a long day. Location wise, I loved it and I'm convinced I need to move down there one day. Access to everything you could need in the nearby towns. I would definitely stay here again.

Great place and good location! The room could have used some deep cleaning. A little dusty and the rug needed a good vacuuming. We were able to cool the room down with fans and windows open but it did get quite warm inside at times. Overall, a great stay!

My favorite part was that there were multiple sleeping options in the living room for our kids - a pull out Murphy Bed cabinet bed and also a pull out sofa sleeper couch. Although not the most comfortable, the kids liked having their “own” beds. It kept the peace. Super cute VRBO with adorable decor and vintage ski signs. Unit was very clean and adequately stocked with everything we needed. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking, baking, and daily meals. Location is awesome - it’s a quick 8-10 minute walk straight across to the base of Keystone Resort “Mountain House” and “Peru Express” lift. The kids liked the convenience of being able to walk to and from skiing and the condo on their own schedule. VRBO owner / host / management company had excellent communication all throughout the process. I’d definitely stay here again.

As this is a seasonal property there is only a boiler going in the winter so if it gets warm there is no A/C option. That wasn't an issue as the weather was good enough to just open the windows and doors. Everything was great other than the layout of where the condo was. The numbering system is a little off and it does not go in order when you get out of the elevator. That being said, once you find the place its easy to get back to.

Great stay in Oro Grande

Location was perfect, we wanted a quiet place to decompress and this was it. Very quiet building with beautiful views. Would definitely stay again. We really liked the pizza place in River run. Only negative was the living room furniture. Couches not so good, very uncomfortable. But very happy with our stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Kiddo and I had a great girls weekend in Keystone at this rental. I’ve stayed with SCMR many times over the last few years and I always find their rentals to be the best. No access card pickup this time, just a code that was emailed to me the day before, not sure if that is a new feature across the board for SCMR rentals or just this location, but it was extremely convenient. The condo was well-stocked with everything we needed and the location was quiet. We loved the indoor pool! I will say that the sleeper sofa was really difficult to open, seems like the springs in it have seen better days. Other than that everything was exactly as we needed and we had a great time.

The laundry was cheap and the pool area was wonderful. One downside is that you were not supposed to bring any beverages into the pool, kind of lame but I understand why. This specific unit was excellent. The sleeping situations were comfortable. I don't think I would change a thing. The heated parking was fantastic. The only thing I would say is I wasn't sure how to get more towels.

A Gem
