Red Hawk Lodge #2202

First of all, Summit County Mountain Retreat is a great management company to work with. Timely communication before and during the stay, quick responses to my late check-out request, and making sure the stay is comfortable.

I had an amazing stay at the Red Hawk 2202. It is a really nice unit, it's a couple minutes walk to the River Run Gondola, nicely decorated, comfortable bed, and a fully stocked kitchen. I have stayed at other units within the Red Hawk complex, so I know this unit has had a lot of upgrades done to it.

I will stay in this unit again next year without a question!

We reserved Buffalo Lodge 8329 for the B&B festival because of it's balcony location. We reserved 9/23/24. Over the year the property changed management companies. When we arrived we retrieved our keys and proceeded to the location only to find our keys, and the masters did not work. We were told we had to move to another less convenient location away from the RR plaza. While we we refunded the difference in rental price and Summit's fees were waived we were very disappointed b/c the loc was not what we wanted. This obviously impacted our stay. For 2026 I would like to work with Summit to secure a property which meets our expectations with a balcony overlooking the river run plaza and main stage.

We’re truly sorry for the disruption at the start of your stay and completely understand how disappointing it must have been not to stay in the specific location you had thoughtfully chosen for the B&B Festival. This was an unexpected issue caused by a rare clerical error tied to the third-party booking site and a recent change in property management. It’s certainly not something we encounter often, and we truly regret that it impacted your stay. As soon as we realized the situation, we worked quickly to find a suitable alternative for you, especially considering how busy the weekend was, and we were glad to be able assist with the relocation within such a short time frame with very limited inventory. That said, we know nothing quite replaces the view and convenience of a River Run balcony during the festival, and we truly regret that we couldn’t deliver the exact experience you were expecting. We’d love the opportunity to work with you personally for your 2026 stay to make sure everything is just right, especially securing a balcony overlooking the plaza.
