Places to Eat in Dillon
Arapahoe Cafe & Pub

When it comes to Dillon restaurants, Arapahoe Cafe is a mainstay, and with over 1,800 reviews it is one of the most consistently praised rooms in the county. Come in for breakfast, lunch or dinner and you will find a huge menu: flapjacks and eggs Benedict in the morning, bison burgers, Philly cheesesteaks and wings later. The granola flapjack and the garden skillet are the breakfast orders people come back for.
The patio is lovely in warmer months, filled with flowers and hummingbirds, and it sits right next to the Dillon Amphitheater, which makes it a natural stop before a summer show.
Two things to know: they do not take reservations, and they may decline takeout when the kitchen is slammed. Do not let the wait put you off, because regulars will tell you it moves faster than it looks.
Haywood Cafe

Technically a Dillon address, but it sits on the Keystone corridor minutes from the resort, and it is the highest-rated restaurant on this entire list. A genuine ski-town breakfast institution.
Omelets, eggs Benedict, corned beef hash, green chili, cheesy grits and French toast, all done properly with generous portions. The avocado toast comes with two eggs and pico de gallo, and the Swiss baked eggs get named repeatedly. Easy parking right out front, which is rarer around Keystone than you would think.
Note the 1:30pm close. This is breakfast and lunch only, so make it your morning stop rather than your dinner plan.

Blue Moon Bakery

Looking for coffee, a pastry or a quick lunch? Blue Moon has become a Summit County favourite for locals and visitors alike, built on high quality, freshly baked products and genuinely friendly service.
The bakery case is the draw: croissants, brownies in several flavours, cupcakes and bagels that survive scrutiny from actual New Yorkers. The breakfast burrito and French toast are both worth ordering. They also handle custom cakes, sometimes at remarkably short notice, which is useful if a birthday falls during your trip.

One of the best pho spots in the mountains, with a family-friendly atmosphere and everything made to order. The broth is clear, rich and properly flavourful, and portions are generous enough that the small size defeats most people.
Beyond pho, the rice plates are the sleeper order — ask for an extra egg sunny side up. It gets genuinely packed, which tells you what you need to know.
Bluebird Market

A modern food hall that has become a gathering place for locals and visitors alike. Twelve culinary concepts under one roof, drawn from the local workforce, with chefs encouraged to collaborate and run demos, cooking classes and community events.
It is the obvious answer for a group that cannot agree: burgers, ramen, Mexican, barbecue, coffee, confectionery and a full bar, all in one building with plenty of seating. The cheesecake at the dessert counter has a genuine following.
Worth knowing: individual vendor hours vary within the hall, and the upstairs stalls sometimes close earlier than the building. Go at a normal mealtime if you want everything open.

A family-owned, no-frills spot with a massive menu and a loyal local following. Lo mein, fried rice and a wide range of chicken, beef, pork and seafood dishes, all served in a welcoming atmosphere at a genuinely good price.
Tangerine chicken, sesame chicken, Mongolian beef and the crab rangoon are the consistent recommendations. The lunch specials, running until around 2:30pm, are the best value in the county, typically soup, an appetiser and a main with rice for a little over eleven dollars.
Kemosabe at Silverheels

A Frisco Main Street institution with over 1,500 reviews, and considerably more interesting than the name suggests. The menu spans sushi, pho, gyros, lettuce wraps, burgers and fried chicken, which sounds chaotic and somehow works.
The house burger with sidewinder fries is the order people write about, the sushi genuinely holds up, and the vegan options are handled properly rather than as an afterthought. There is a dog-friendly patio with water bowls.
Note the later opening on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, which catches people out at lunchtime.
Ollie's Pub & Grub

The definition of a local favourite, with nearly 1,800 reviews. A huge selection of drafts and cocktails alongside nachos, burgers, sandwiches and a build-your-own mac and cheese.
The jalapeño burger and the mac burger are the picks, the chimichanga starters and queso are worth adding, and the fries and onion rings are both strong. Plenty of TVs and space make it the natural spot for a big game. Brew pub rather than fine dining, and all the better for it.

Breckenridge's arcade restaurant, and the most-reviewed venue in town. A basement institution with rows of vintage arcade games and pinball, TVs everywhere for whatever game is on, and American favourites including pizza and wings.
The Double Wide burger and blackened chicken sandwich are the orders, and the Bloody Mary has a reputation. Arcade games are cheap enough that kids can play a while without emptying your wallet. Family friendly early, livelier after hours, and open continuously so you are never stuck mid-afternoon.
The Crown

If you are in the mood for a speciality coffee, The Crown is a favourite among locals for grabbing a bite or catching up with a friend. Warm, inviting, with vintage character, a comfy couch by the fireplace and a back patio.
Get a classic latte or a boozy coffee, and do not miss The Watson, a bagel stacked with egg, bacon, cheese and avocado. Paninis, croissants and breakfast burritos are all strong, with gluten-free options available.
Local's tip: The Crown connects internally to Marigold's Farmhouse Funk & Junk next door, so you can browse vintage finds straight from your coffee without going back out into the cold.
Briar Rose Chophouse & Saloon

When it comes to upscale dining in Breckenridge, the Briar Rose is a local favourite. Housed in a beautifully preserved 19th-century building, serving finely aged beef, fresh wild game and local Rocky Mountain trout.
Steak tartare, escargot, a proper wedge salad, ribeye and filet mignon, with the peppercorn and mushroom sauces worth adding. The historic Saloon offers small plates and barrel-aged cocktails, with happy hour starting at 4:00pm in a lively, entertaining room.

Planning a 2026/2027 Ski Trip
Breckenridge's projected opening day is November 7, 2026, with the season typically running into mid or late May, one of the longest in North America. Keystone opens in early November and runs one of the largest night-skiing operations in Colorado, which means you can eat late and still ski.
Both are on the Epic Pass, which makes a Summit County stay unusually good value if you hold one.
Book ahead in peak weeks. Christmas, New Year, MLK weekend and Presidents Day turn walk-ins into a gamble at every sit-down restaurant here.
Getting between towns is free. The county-wide Summit Stage bus connects Keystone, Dillon, Silverthorne, Frisco, Breckenridge and Copper at no cost, which means nobody has to skip the wine list. It runs on a fixed schedule, so allow a buffer in heavy snow.
Go easy the first night. Summit County sits high, and alcohol hits noticeably harder up here. Drink water alongside, eat properly, and save the big evening for later in the trip.
